Everything Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos just said to Congress in 13 minutes

  1. While I appreciate government investigations to ensure predatory business practices are held accountable, it disturbs me that these investigative sessions do not allow for a reasonable collection and review of information presented. In this instance, when investigators ask a question, the respondent is not given adequate time to respond to the question. Rather, the Congress person asking the question will seek to get a sound byte that supports their efforts to show predatory practices, then deny the respondent from clarifying the factual information that brings clarity to response – this is repeatedly done using “I’m short on time and we need to move on” as a means to talk-over or stop the respondent from providing a complete response.
