Base on report trending, information have it that an anonymous employee of Samsung Electronics told The Korea Herald that the dates for the event dedicated to the launch of the foldable Galaxy Fold smartphone have not yet been determined.

If this month [July] we organize an event for the media, then we must do something now. But nothing has changed since the transfer of sales in April.

Initially, the start of sales of the folding smartphone Galaxy Fold was scheduled for April 24, but after massive problems with a flexible display, the company canceled the event. Earlier, a Samsung spokesman told CNET that details about the launch of the Galaxy Fold will appear in the “coming weeks.”

Samsung told The Korea Herald that experts have completed inspection of damaged specimens and are in the process of developing measures to solve the problem. The company wants to increase the durability of the hinge and reduce the gap between the protective layer and the display panel.

Huawei will start selling its folding smartphone called Mate X in September: the company does not want to release a product that can “destroy the reputation.”
