Google link shortening service is officially closed Or not…

March 30, 2018 Google announced its plans to close the service to shorten links goo.gl . From April 13, only Google users registered before this date could use it, and from March 30, 2019, the service will be turned off completely.

The specified closing date has passed, but the site is still active. Moreover, you can create new links that work as usual. 

Google did not give additional comments on this matter, and the stub on the site still reminds that the site will stop working on March 30, 2019. 

If, however, the service is closed, the company promises that all previously created links will work as usual and beyond. 

The abbreviation service from Google was notable for its simplicity and the ability to view detailed statistics of clicks: country, device, browser and number of clicks.
