How to know the iPad model you are using… It becomes hard to remember the exact generation of the iPad. Whether it was an iPad Air 2 or just iPad Air? Have you got the second-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro as a gift? Which iPad model was launched in 2013? There is a lot and lots of confusion while trying to remember the exact iPad model. People might be thinking of why anyone wants to know the exact iPad model. Well, there are several reasons behind it, one to get the right accessory for your device, another reason could be getting any technical support and third while selling the device so that one can get the correct value of the iPad.

Method 1
This method comes in handy if you are unable to turn it on by some reason like the battery is completely drained or the device is damaged.

*Take out the iPad and flip it over.
*Look for the iPad logo at the back of the device
*Underneath the iPad logo, there will be a letter ‘A’ followed by a few numbers. That is the model number of the iPad.
*Search the model number on the internet to find the specific iPad you have or you can refer to the list below.

Method 2
If your iPad is in working state or you don’t want to remove the protecting case from your iPad, then follow the steps below

*Head to ‘Settings’ app on your iPad
*Tap ‘General’ settings
*On the next menu page, tap on the ‘About’ section
*Look for the label ‘Model’ and note it down
*Search for it over the internet or refer to our list below
