The head of the Huawei Consumer Business Group, Richard Yu, shared new details about the upcoming Huawei P40 flagship series in an interview with Frandroid.
According to Yu, the devices will be presented at a special event in Paris next March. A more accurate date will be announced later. Smartphones will receive improved features and a new design. The head of the company promised improved photo capabilities and AI.
Flagships, contrary to previous rumors , will enter the international market running Android 10 with the EMUI 10 shell, and not on the proprietary HarmonyOS. On gadgets, as in the Huawei Mate 30 Pro , due to US sanctions there will be no pre-installed Google services, including the Play Store and Play Services. The company will try to compensate for their shortcoming through the new utilities of the Huawei Mobile Services package.
According to unconfirmed leaks , the P40 Pro will receive a 5500 mAh graphene battery and will be the first model on the Kirin 1020 chipset.
