Insider Digital Chat Station posted on Weibo photos of the allegedly unpublished smartphone Xiaomi Mi 6 Pro. It was supposed to be released at the end of 2017 and be distinguished by touch-sensitive edges instead of physical buttons.
The photos show a smartphone similar to the Xiaomi Mi 6, but the dual camera is located vertically, not horizontally. There are really no buttons on the side faces: there is only a physical key on the top end for rebooting.
According to Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi Mi 6 Pro was supposed to get the Snapdragon 835 chipset, a waterproof case and a 2.5D display from LG Display. One of the reasons for the cancellation of the release of the device, the source considers the growing popularity of frameless smartphones in 2017.
Xiaomi never announced the Xiaomi Mi 6 Pro, but some reports featured the Mi 6 Plus, which was also not released.
