Samsung is preparing an answer to the iPhone 11 with an improved camera. About this writes the publication Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with the plans of the manufacturer.
The Galaxy S11 smartphone , which will be released next year, will receive a sensor with a resolution of 108 megapixels. The novelty will be equipped with a five-fold zoom, an ultra-wide-angle lens, as well as three additional cameras, the interlocutors of the agency said.
One of the cameras will be ToF (Time-of-Flight). It is used for portraiture and in augmented reality applications, reports Bloomberg.
According to the source, Galaxy S11 will be released in February next year. Updated cameras will receive one more smartphone – probably the successor to the folding Galaxy Fold. A device with a flexible screen will be publicly presented “at about the same time.”
New cameras in smartphones, work on a foldable device and the introduction of 5G support are “key elements” of Samsung’s strategy, Bloomberg complements. The publication suggests that in the development of technology, Apple will not be able to catch up with Samsung until the release of the new iPhone next year.
