As a prophet, Elisha wanted to be a great farmer but he turn against his own will and desires to fulfil God own, he started by following Elijah who has nothing to offer him at the moment he make the decision of following Elijah but the end of Elisha was glorious.

Now the man that supposed to take over from Elisha (Gehazi) decided to follow his own will instead of the will of God, bible students – we all know how Gehazi ended, Gehazi was Elisha’s trusted representative and messenger who had been with him for several years. Gehazi knew Elisha was a prophet of the one true God.

One thing I Emma learned from Gehazi decision of going against God’s will is that, those who decided to follow their own will did so because the enemy blinded their eyes through their own self desire and passion…

I also understand better that going against God’s will and desires for us will bring a disastrous end to us.

Father help us to live and make choices & decisions according to your own will and desires for us.
