Why you’ll Buy the iPhone 13 Pro DESPITE the NOTCH!

These brand new leaks and rumors point to the iPhone 13 Pro being the most compelling iPhone we’ve seen in many years, even though it’s still gonna have a notch.. Let me explain!

Alright so we’re now only one month away from Apple’s September event where they’ll
00:04
show off the brand new iPhone 13 lineup, and based on all of the leaks and rumors that
00:09
we’ve been seeing from very reliable sources, I’m confident that insane amounts of people
00:15
are gonna upgrade to the iPhone 13 Pro, despite still having a notch in 2021!
00:22
So in this video, I’m gonna be going through the various reasons why the iPhone 13 Pro
00:26
is gonna be revolutionary while at the same time fixing a bunch of the problems that people
00:31
have with the current iPhone 12 lineup, leading to record amounts of sales and a lot of happy
00:37
customers, so before I get into the #1 ground-breaking feature that will get people to upgrade, I
00:44
want to go through the other very important features!
00:48
First of all, one of the biggest ones that people have been asking for for years now
00:52
is a display with 120hz refresh rate, which has been rumored to be coming for many months
00:57
through various leaks and reports, and it seems like we’re finally getting it for
01:02
sure!
01:03
Just a couple of days ago, Mark Gurman, the most reliable Apple leaker out there, just
01:08
reconfirmed that the iPhone 13 Pro models will be getting 120hz displays, which I honestly
01:14
think is gonna be enough by itself for massive amounts of people to upgrade.
01:20
The reason for that is because we have both an iPad Pro with a 120hz display and an iPad
01:27
Air with a 60hz display, and the difference is so massive that I can’t stand using the
01:33
iPad Air because the display just feels so choppy.
01:37
So I’m super excited to be getting this on the iPhone!
01:42
Now on top of that, it’s also gonna feature ProMotion technology, which means that the
01:46
refresh rate will automatically turn down to as low as 1hz, which is what Samsung’s
01:53
latest phones are able to do.
01:55
This means that when you’re watching videos shot at 24FPS, the display will run at 24hz,
02:02
saving significant amounts of battery life.
02:04
And going even further, if it can go down to 1hz, this means that we should likely be
02:09
seeing the Always-on display from the Apple Watch finally coming to the iPhone, which
02:16
is something that Android phones have had for years!
02:19
And I’m pretty sure we’re finally gonna get the Always-on feature on the iPhone 13
02:23
Pro based on leaks from Max Weinbach and Mark Gurman who think that feature could be coming
02:29
this year!
02:30
Moving on, Max Weinbach and Everything Apple Pro reported that the new iPhone 13 range
02:35
will come with upgraded MagSafe, including larger wireless charging coils which are gonna
02:41
improve heat management and allow for higher wattage, potentially even enabling reverse
02:47
wireless charging.
02:48
And adding to that, the MagSafe magnets themselves are supposed to be getting stronger, which
02:55
is gonna be great for all of those new MagSafe accessories out there.
02:59
Now while it is a bit disappointing that we’re still gonna have a notch on the iPhone in
03:04
2021, many leaks over the past few months have pointed to the notch FINALLY getting
03:10
smaller, and now, we have confirmation from Mark Gurman that the notch will in fact be
03:16
smaller on the iPhone 13 lineup.
03:18
This feature alone is gonna make the iPhone 13 instantly recognizable if you’re looking
03:23
at the display compared to an iPhone 12, so I believe this small difference is gonna get
03:29
a lot of people to upgrade, on top of the fact that it’s gonna make your movie watching
03:34
or gaming experience better!
03:36
Now going even further, the iPhone 13 lineup has been rumored to be getting WiFi 6E, which
03:42
is a HUGE deal because it’s actually adding support for a brand new 6GHz band which WiFi
03:49
6 didn’t do at all.
03:51
And apparently, it’s gonna improve everything from speed, capacity, and much lower latency
03:58
for things like gaming, so this is gonna help make the iPhone 13 future-proof and help more
04:04
people feel confident in upgrading!
04:06
And if we’re talking about gaming, I also want to mention that back in March, we got
04:11
our first reports from Ming-chi Kuo that the iPhone 13 lineup would be getting bigger batteries
04:16
by using a new space-saving design for some of the internal parts.
04:21
And back in June, we got another report that mentioned the exact battery sizes of the iPhone
04:26
13 lineup, with the Pro Max model going from 3876mAh to a massive 4352, the 13 and 13 Pro
04:35
going from 2815mAh to 3095, and the mini going from 2227mAh to 2406, so the biggest difference
04:45
will be seen on the Pro Max!
04:49
Going further, the A15 Bionic chip is expected to improve efficiency and battery life on
04:55
top of that extra battery size improvement, so I think the iPhone 13 will kill it in terms
05:02
of battery life!
05:03
Now one of the biggest problems that we currently have with the iPhone 12 lineup, especially
05:08
the iPhone 12 Pro Max is overheating while out in the sun, playing games or just charging!
05:16
And because of this overheating issue, the graphics performance of the A14 chip in the
05:21
iPhone 12 is MUCH lower than on the iPad Air 4 which uses the same exact A14 chip.
05:29
This basically means that Apple is being forced to slow down the GPU cores on the A14 to keep
05:35
it from overheating, which means that the A15 chip will likely also get thermally throttled
05:42
even if it’s supposed to be more powerful and efficient.
05:45
Thankfully, there are reports that Apple is working on a new vapor chamber cooling system
05:50
for the iPhone, but it’s not clear if it’ll be ready for this year’s iPhones, but I
05:56
honestly think Apple has no choice but to add this feature because of the huge overheating
06:03
problems on the iPhone 12, so let’s hope for that!
06:06
And interestingly, Apple has reportedly ordered 100 million A15 chips for the iPhone 13 lineup,
06:13
which is incredible, showing that Apple themselves are expecting to sell massive amounts of iPhone
06:19
13 models.
06:20
Now I know you’re gonna say that the A14 chip is already powerful enough and there’s
06:25
really no point to making it more powerful with an A15 chip, but what most people don’t
06:30
realize is that the camera greatly depends on the chip’s performance, and it’s the
06:37
reason why the iPhone 12 Pro’s camera works so incredibly well.
06:41
And with that, I want to finally get into the new feature that is gonna revolutionize
06:46
the entire industry and be the most important factor for upgrading to the iPhone 13 Pro!
06:52
3 Weeks ago, I made a video talking about why LiDAR is Apple’s Master plan for the
06:57
iPhone 13, and in that video, I mentioned leaks about Apple getting a 2nd-gen LiDAR
07:04
scanner for the new iPhone, which was also visible on the leaked dummy units of the iPhone
07:10
13 Pro models which showed a much larger LiDAR scanner on the camera bump.
07:15
But the point of the video was that Apple is FINALLY adding portrait mode video with
07:20
background blur based on a leak from Max Weinbach earlier this year.. And this feature is gonna
07:26
work in real-time just like Apple’s new FaceTime blur feature works, but on the iPhone
07:32
13, it’s gonna allow you to disable the blur or adjust its strength in post, after
07:39
you film it, which has never been seen before.
07:41
And I even showed you guys the brand new Apple patents that describe how Apple will be compressing
07:47
the depth map data using a new hardware chip to allow this to work.
07:53
Well, just a couple of days ago, Mark Gurman actually confirmed my prediction by saying
07:59
that the iPhone 13 Pro models will be getting this new Portrait mode video feature alongside
08:05
a new ProRes format for video.
08:09
And this feature should also be coming to the selfie camera because there are rumors
08:13
that the smaller notch is gonna be due to a new 2nd-gen FaceTime sensor array which
08:19
also uses LiDAR technology.
08:21
Now I personally believe that this feature will revolutionize the smartphone industry,
08:27
just like the original Portrait mode for photos did way back in the day, and as soon as people
08:32
see how good the new portrait video feature works, people are gonna be upgrading like
08:37
mad, especially since the iPhone 13 lineup is gonna feature those other massive changes
08:43
I mentioned in the video.
08:44
And finally, if you didn’t have enough reasons to believe the iPhone 13 Pro will be incredibly
08:50
upgrade-worthy.. I’m also expecting Apple to add Bluetooth 5.2 support for the iPhone
08:57
13 lineup, because if you look at the recent WiFi6E capable phones like the Asus ROG Phone
09:03
5, it also supports Bluetooth 5.2
09:07
And that’s probably because the latest WiFi 6E chips like Qualcomm’s FastConnect 6900
09:14
includes Bluetooth 5.2 built in, so that’s why I’m assuming the iPhone 13 will as well.
09:20
And since we’re now expecting the AirPods 3 to get released alongside the iPhone 13,
09:25
I think both of them will support Bluetooth 5.2 which will enable some pretty awesome
09:30
new features like potentially better-quality music streaming.
09:34
And on top of all of that, we’re also expecting the iPhone 13 to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon
09:40
X60 modem to improve LTE and 5G data speeds while saving battery life due to being more
09:47
efficient.
09:48
So with all of that said, I think that the iPhone 13 Pro is gonna be the most compelling
09:53
iPhone we’ve seen in years, being much more compelling than the iPhone 12 due to all of
09:59
these amazing new features like 120hz refresh rate, the larger battery sizes, the smaller
10:05
notch, upgraded MagSafe, the new portrait video mode and much more!
